An official in the Indian state of Maharashtra's Thane district asserted on Monday that the Omicron scare has rendered over 100 recent foreign returnees untraceable.

According to KMDC chairman Vijay Suryavanshi, “109 of the 295 recent foreign returnees to Thane district's Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KMDC) township are now untraceable”.
