11 Sikhs from Kabul arrive in India

SGPC president S. Harjinder Singh announced US$3600 to be provided as compensation for the first batch of 11 Afghan Sikhs who reached India.

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Thursday arranged the arrival of eleven Sikhs from Afghanistan to India after the recent terror attack on Gurdwara Sahib in Karte Parwan near Kabul.

Among the eleven who arrived was Raghbir Singh, who was injured in the recent attack. The Sikhs also brought along with them the mortal remains of late Sawinder Singh, who was killed in the attack, a news release by SGPC mentioned.
