The 2020 U.S. State Department report on terrorism presents a brief overview of the terrorism related activities in various countries and found that there are 66 known Indian-origin fighters in the global terrorist group Islamic States as of November.

“Major terrorist groups that have been active in India include Lashkar-e-Tayyiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahedeen, ISIS, al-Qa’ida in the Indian Subcontinent, and Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen,” the report stated.
