A day at Lucknow's majestic Charbagh Station

The combination of Rajput, Awadhi, and Mughal architecture gives Lucknow's Charbagh station a palatial appearance. Designed by J. H. Horniman, it was built at a price of Rs 70 lakh, equivalent to USD 2 million in 2021

Lucknow railway station, a part of world's largest rail networks (Indian Railways), is popularly known as Charbagh railway station. Meant for broad gauge trains (5.6ft), it caters to thousands daily.
