A new study reveals COVID-19 Delta variant can infect fully vaccinated individuals too

Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium in its last bulletin told that Delta strain continues to be the main variant of concern (VOC) in India.

A study conducted by the Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG), Council of Scientific And Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Centre for Disease Control in two Delhi hospitals has revealed that the highly communicable COVID-19 Delta variant can infect individuals who have been fully vaccinated against the virus

It has also revealed the extremity of infection and vaccination protects against hospitalization. It says that there is also a possible risk of transmission in very vulnerable people.
