The Indian Journal of Geo-Marine Sciences approved a new type of algae, Acetabularia Jalakanyakae discovered and named by Dr. Felix Bast in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

"The newly discovered species is so stunning. It has caps with intricate designs as if they were umbrellas of a mermaid," said Dr. Felix Bast, a scientist from the Central University of Punjab.
