Air Arabia aircraft lands at Kochi airport after hydraulic malfunction

The airport also released a statement earlier this month that it has begun enabling technical landings for refuelling flights using the neighbouring international air route.

An Air Arabia aeroplane which departed from Sharjah, UAE, on Friday had to make an emergency landing at Kochi airport due to a hydraulic failure in the aircraft. The 222 passengers and crew on the flight were reported to have arrived safely.

According to the Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), a major emergency was declared at Kochi airport on Friday following the report of a hydraulic failure on an Air Arabia flight arriving from Sharjah. The plane landed safely on runway 9 after a major emergency was declared at the Kochi airport at 6:41 pm.
