Air India announced operating additional flights between India and the US on August 6, 13, 20, and 27. This decision of the Airline will bring respite to the US-bound student population in India, who complained of frequent rescheduling and cancellation of their flights by the airline.

With the Fall session of academic institutions approaching, The US government has permitted entry to students with valid F-1 or M-1 visas to continue their studies in American universities from August 1 onwards. However, as the ban on Indian travelers has not yet been lifted by the US many flights are either being canceled or rescheduled, which is affecting their chances of getting back to their universities. ‌
