Airbus, Airlift Global join hands for chopper ambulance service in India

The news release mentioned that the two companies will address key frameworks, road maps, and feasible investment instruments required to enable and sustain credible, effective emergency air medical services in the nation.

Airbus inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Airlift Global, a company financed by UK-based AUM Capital, to develop helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) and associated air medical services in India.

According to a news release from the plane manufacturer, the MoU was signed at the ongoing Wings India 2022 by Sunny Guglani, head of Airbus Helicopters (India and South Asia). Under the partnership, Airbus and Airlift Global would collaborate to develop a pilot project integrating air ambulance and medical emergency services for improved health care accessibility and connectivity in urban as well as rural environments.
