The Akshaya Patra Foundation USA, one of the world's largest distributors of school lunches, has launched its first-ever NFT (Non-fungible token) in collaboration with Abris.io of Massachusetts for a social cause.

By utilizing NFTs, Akshaya Patra will target the problems of low school enrollment and attendance, low socialization between castes, and poor nutrition for some of India's most underprivileged youngsters. In doing so, it is establishing a precedent for maximizing the good potential of technologies.
