Amazon targets US$ 20 billion in exports from India by 2025

The Amazon Global Selling programme assists Indian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in lowering the entry barrier to expanding their export business by utilizing e-commerce as a platform.

Online marketplace Amazon is expanding the scope of Indian exports on its platform as it sees a high demand for Made in India items in global markets and as small and medium-sized exporters resort to the internet to sell their goods, the company announced recently. It will aim for US$20 billion in cumulative exports from India by 2025, rising from US$10 billion previously.

Cumulative shipments by Indian exporters on the Amazon Global Selling program are on course to surpass the US$5 billion mark.
