The Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) urges the U.S. and Indian governments to increase their efforts to protect the religious minorities in Afghanistan. A statement released by the Hindu Organization stated that they stand with the beleaguered people of Afghanistan, especially its religious minorities.

CoHNA urges the U.S. Government to show support by including additional provisions in Bill S1642 for reporting on the status of religious minorities. Bill S1612 is a bill sponsored by Sen. Dianne Feinstein that will require the Secretary of State to submit a report on the status of women and girls in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of the U.S. Army.
