Australia appoints Indian origin Harinder Sidhu as New High Commissioner to New Zealand
Sidhu’s most recent role was as head of the Multilateral Policy Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. There, she was responsible for relationships with the UN and UN agencies, the UN Security Council and the Commonwealth

Indian-origin Harinder Sidhu, has been appointed as Australia’s next High Commissioner to New Zealand.
The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Marise Payne, announced that Sidhu will be replacing High Commissioner Patricia Forsythe, who has held the position since 2019.
