President Joe Biden has appointed Indian-American Padma Raghavan, a leading researcher and computer scientist, to serve as a member of the President’s Committee on the National Medal of Science, announced the White House.

Specialized in computational data science and high-performance computing, Raghavan is currently the inaugural Vice Provost for Research and Professor of Computer Science at Vanderbilt University, where she is responsible for the development of the University’s trans-institutional research.
