Boris Johnson’s fate under review while he visits India

Govt claimed that his visit to India was ‘definitely happening’ allowing him to escape the debate. He is set to fly after PM’s Q&A on Wednesday.

UK prime minister Boris Johnson is scheduled to leave for India on Wednesday, April 20. His plans to meet Indian counterpart Narendra Modi are firm despite its clash with the House of Commons vote.

Commons will take call on Thursday on whether to investigate Johnson for misleading Parliament over lockdown breaches. Johnson was told to resign by Conservative former chief Mark Harper in a letter to MP, Graham Brady.
