Britain and India to initiate FTA negotiations

Britain and India will officially begin discussions on a free-trade agreement today (Jan 13) in New Delhi, aiming for greater freedom of movement of products and people in a pact that is expected to boost bilateral trade by billions of pounds.

Piyush Goyal, India's trade minister, and Anne-Marie Trevelyan, Britain's trade minister, will meet in New Delhi today, with the first round of talks to begin next week.
