Canada says no COVID-19 test results needed for vaccinated travelers

The tests are being phased out due to Canada's high immunization rates and fewer cases of the virus being found at the border, according to Duclos.

Tourism and business groups were relieved when the Canadian government said it would no longer require vaccinated passengers to present a negative COVID-19 test result in order to enter the country. Beginning April 1, according to Health Minister Jean-Yves Duclos, testing will no longer be required.

Currently, fully vaccinated tourists entering Canada must show documentation of a negative antigen test given by a specialist. In February, the antigen test replaced the place of the more expensive and time-consuming molecular test.
