Canadian Vedic Scholar Jeffery Armstrong receives ICCR’s Distinguished Indologist Award

The award is conferred upon a foreign scholar for their outstanding contribution in study, teaching and research in any of the fields of Indian Studies.

The Indian Consulate in Canada awarded the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) Distinguished Indologist Award, 2021 to award-winning author and founder of Vedic Academy of Science & Arts (VASA), Jeffery Armstrong in a ceremony in Vancouver, Canada.

Armstrong was recognized for his four decade long contribution in research and teachings of Indian studies abroad and presented with a citation, a gold-plated Medallion, and US$ 20,000. Additionally, the award will also provide Armstrong with a return business class air ticket and week of full local hospitality in India after the completion of the award ceremony.
