The Carnegie Corporation of New York announced its 2022 Class of Great Immigrants recently including two Indian Americans, Padma Lakshmi, TV Host and Executive Producer and Punit Renjen Global CEO of Deloitte.

Every Fourth of July the organisation honors Immigrants who have contributed greatly to strengthening and enriching American democracy. “Our annual recognition of outstanding immigrants is a tribute to the legacy of Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish immigrant who, like these honorees, found success as an American and gave back to his adopted country,” a news release by Carnegie corp noted.
