Centre announces first-ever Startup India 'Innovation Week'

The event is designed to showcase the spread and depth of entrepreneurship across India.

The Centre will be hosting the first-ever Startup India "Innovation Week" from today. According to an official statement, the event intends to unite India's leading entrepreneurs, investors, incubators, funding entities, banks, policymakers, etc., under a single umbrella to celebrate entrepreneurship and promote innovation.

The weeklong event organized by the department for promotion of Industry and Internal trade (DPIIT) will occur from Jan. 10 to 16. It aims to commemorate the 75th year of India's Independence 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' by displaying the spread and depth of entrepreneurship across India.
