CGI Hong Kong screens play on Indian freedom struggle

“The Oudh Quatrain” is a Parsi-style theatrical that tells the story of Oudh’s (an empire in precolonial India) last King, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, and his second wife, Begum Hazrat Mahal.

As part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, the Consulate General of India in Hong Kong presented a play called “The Oudh Quatrain,” centered on India's freedom struggle, at the Grand Theatre, Xiqu Centre in Hong Kong.

A live telecast of the play was held at the Indian embassy in Beijing, which was attended by senior diplomats from Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
