On Wednesday, the White House announced the Presidential delegation that would visit South Korea to attend President-elect Yoon Suk Yeol's inauguration in Seoul on May 10, 2022, which includes Indian-origin congressman Ami Bera.

Congressman Ami Bera, D-California, is the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Asia, the Pacific, Central Asia, and Nonproliferation. Other members of the presidential delegation include Christopher Del Corso, Martin J. Walsh, Marilyn Strickland, Todd Sunhwae Kim, Linda Hee Jung Shim, and Min Jin Lee. Doug Emhoff, the spouse of Vice President Kamala Harris, will be leading the squad.
