CoWin certificate undergoes small change to meet WHO guidelines

Indian and UK health agencies still in talks about technical aspects of vaccine certification as fully vaccinated Indians are required to quarantine on arrival

Fully vaccinated individuals who are flying abroad will have their full date of birth in their vaccination certificate, official sources announced recently. The change is being made to adhere to World Health Organization’s guidelines for international travelers.

Currently the certificates mention the age of the individual, but the change will be made and new certificates will follow the ‘yyyy-mm-dd’ (year-month-day) format as per WHO standards.
