Amarinder quits, Punjab Congress in deep crisis
The Punjab Congress has plunged deeper into crisis, hardly two months after a tenuous calm. Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, who was involved in a prolonged political tussle with cricketer-turned-politician and state party chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, resigned this afternoon before the scheduled meeting of the Congress Legislature Party in the evening.
