Republic of Vanuatu presents highest civilian honor to Deepak Khanna

The Vanuatu Government recognized and appreciated Deepak Khanna’s contribution, and efforts in providing vital assistance to the victims of the TC Harold Category 5 cyclone that destroyed most of the northern islands of Vanuatu in April 2020.

The Republic of Vanuatu has conferred the Presidential Medal of Honor to Deepak Khanna for his contribution in the field of media and telecommunications. He is the first Indian to receive this highest civilian honor in the republic of Vanuatu, a Pacific island nation.

Khanna was recognized for his participation on restoring connectivity and providing medical aid to the victims of the TC Harold Category 5 Cyclone that destroyed most of the northern islands of Vanuatu in April 2020. The award was presented to him in absentia.
