Water Minister Satyendar Jain announced that the Delhi government has chosen to treat 95 million gallons of wastewater (MGD) per day from Haryana that flows into the Yamuna in the city.
"The Delhi government has agreed to treat this 95 million gallon of wastewater (MGD) per day flowing from Haryana through Badshahpur drains with in-situ technology," said Jain, who examined the Badshahpur drain near Najafgarh during the day. According to a statement from the ministry, wastewater may be filtered and treated in the sewer itself using this technology.
