Devika Chaudhary named Brimbank Council's Young Citizen of the Year 2022
The Brimbank Mayor, Cr Jasmine Nguyen, presented the awards at the Brimbank Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony at the Kevin Wheelahan Gardens in Sunshine.
Young Citizen of the Year is an award presented to a young person (under the age of 26) who has made a noteworthy contribution during the current year and/or has given outstanding service to the local community over a number of years.

The 2022 Brimbank Australia Day Awards were presented across two categories and have been awarded to joint winners. The two categories are Citizen of the Year, won by Marlon DeLeon and Tara Trang and Young Citizen of the Year won by Devika Chaudhary and Haylee Bissett (she/her).
