Indian business tycoon rose to prominence in the UAE

Expat in the UAE for 55 years, he was the founder of Malabar Gold and PACE Education.


Dr. PA Ibrahim Haji, a well-known Indian business owner who lived in the UAE, died on Monday night in Kerala, where he had been airlifted after more than a week in Dubai following a stroke. He was the chairman of PACE Education Group, Malabar Gold and Diamonds co-chairman, and founder and vice chairman of India's Indus Motor Company.

Business and community leaders and others paid tributes and condolences, recalling Hajji's contributions in various fields and his humble beginnings.
