Due to COVID-19, the Ranji Trophy will be postponed
The first round was supposed to begin on January 13 in different cities, but it has been postponed, and the BCCI will decide when to hold the blue riband event later.
On Tuesday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that Ranji Trophy, India's most significant domestic first-class tournament, will not begin as planned on Jan. 13 owing to a nationwide outbreak of COVID-19.
"Yes, the Ranji Trophy has been postponed and will not begin on Jan. 13," the BCCI official said.
