EU Parliament welcomes resumption of EU-India trade talks, says base them on values

The European Union (EU) Parliament welcomed the resumption of trade and investment talks with India, that began on June 17,2022 after a gap of eight years.

In an official statement the Parliament said that the talks should proceed “only as long as European values and standards, including rule of law, democracy, as well as human, women’s and labour rights, are respected.”
