The new growth in relation might pave way for both the nations to work toward regional development along with prioritising the Afghan issue

External Affairs Minister to visit Iran for the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected president- Ebrahim Raisi

Indian Foreign Minister, S Jaishankar will represent India and attend the oath-taking ceremony of Iran's elected President- Ebrahim Raisi on Aug. 5th in Tehran along with the head of the states and foreign ministers attending this event.

This will be S. Jaishankar's second visit within a month. The invitation first came from Iran in the month of July when Jaishankar was on a visit to Moscow and made a stopover at Tehran. He paid a visit to the president and have become the first foreign minister to meet even before Raisi assumed his seat.
