Final phase of the UP Assembly elections wraps up
The results of the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh will be released later this week.

During the past month, Uttar Pradesh held its seven-phase Assembly elections for 403 seats, with the final round coming to an end on Monday. Polling started at 7 a.m. and closed up in all districts by 6 p.m.
According to data from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the seventh phase recorded a voter turnout of 57.53 percent for 54 assembly seats including 5 seats in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency of Varanasi. The actual votes however, will be counted on March 10, 2022.
