Flash sales to be halted on e-commerce sites

Though these sales highly benefit both e-commerce companies and customers, the government may not permit them to continue

The Indian government looks forward to introduce and initiate sterner norms for e-commerce platforms like Flipkart, Amazon. By July 6, the Department of Consumer Affairs is looking for feedback and suggestions on the proposed changes to Consumer Protection.

Primarily, the government may not allow flash sales of products and services on such e-commerce platforms as they host endless sales and discounts throughout the year, which seems to be hindering the small companies, and under the new rule, such deals would be outlawed.
