Foreign tourists may be allowed to visit India soon
Sources say first five lakh foreign travellers would be handed visas free of charge
India may soon reopen its doors to foreign tourists for the first time in one-and-a-half years, officials said, citing a marked decline in Covid cases in the country.
In an attempt to restore the tourism, hospitality, and aviation sectors, which have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic since March 2020, the first five lakh foreign travelers would be handed visas free of charge.
