Following a worldwide outrage over the European Union deciding to recognize the AstraZeneca vaccine, France has agreed to allow tourists, students, and workers who have received Covishield, the AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured in India.

Beginning from July 18, 2021, (Sunday) foreign travelers who have received AstraZeneca’s Indian-made vaccine will be allowed to enter France. Along with that, according to a statement released by Prime Minister Jean Castex on Saturday, border checks would be tightened to limit the spread of the delta strain and to prevent crowding at hospitals.
