Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeu on the sidelines of the G-7 Summit held at Schloss Elmau in Germany on Monday. According to the official statement, the two leaders discussed bilateral security and cooperation on counter terrorism exchanging “views on global and regional issues of mutual interest.”

New Delhi has in recent years expressed concern over the burgeoning anti-India sentiments and radical pro-Khalistani elements amongst the Sikhs in Canada and the terrorist groups’ attempts to sow civil unrest in Punjab through extremist statements and activities.
