The Gandhian Society, in collaboration with the Rotary Club and the Zakir Husain Foundation, hosted an Interfaith Prayer Meet and Khadi Fashion Show in Parsippany, New Jersey.
The event was arranged to pray for peace, understanding, and the spreading of love/brotherhood among all human beings, as well as to demonstrate the national fabric of India - Khadi in a modern fashion for the younger generation of American Indians. Khadi embodies the Indian concept of simple living with grace and dignity.
