Software giant Google has introduced several new India-specific features and collaborations in its products at the seventh edition of the annual 'Google for India' Conference.

Google at the seventh edition of the annual ‘Google for India Conference’ on Thursday announced a number of features specifically aimed at India’s growing digital economy by enabling vaccine appointment bookings, digital payments and voice support for local languages on their search engine and virtual assistant.

“Last year, we launched the 10 billion dollar Google for India Digitisation Fund. Today’s announcements aim at bridging more gaps and further broadening the inclusive base of India’s digital economy so that the advantages of this crucial transformation are accessible to everyone,” said Sanjay Gupta, Country Head & Vice President, Google India.
