GWU museum holds exhibition of age old Indian textiles
A program invited the public to bring ancient rugs and textiles from their personal collection for inspection and comments by experts in the museum

The George Washington University Textile Museum is currently holding an exhibition titled ‘Indian Textiles: 1,000 Years of Art and Design’, that has on display fabrics from as early as the ninth century.
The ongoing exhibition, that is scheduled till June 4, 2022, showcases pieces from the Textile Museum Collection and London-based collector and researcher of textiles, Karun Thakar’s private collection.
