As part of the deal Germany committed 10 billion Euros towards green projects in India until 2030.

On Monday, May 02, 2022, India and Germany held the sixth round of Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC) under the co-chairmanship of the Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During the IGC, the heads of State signed the Joint Declaration of Intent establishing the Indo-German Partnership for Green and Sustainable Development which fortifies both countries’ commitment to the implementation of the Paris Agreement and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
