India, Germany sign Work Plan 2022

Over 150 German and Indian stakeholders attended the meeting, which included Indian ministries (DPIIT, MoP, MoRTH, DCPC, CPRI), industry associations (FICCI, CII, VDMA, VDA), standardization and accreditation bodies (BIS, DIN, DKE, NABCB, DAkkS), and the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce.

India and Germany signed a Work Plan 2022 for cooperation in order to strengthen quality infrastructure, reduce technical trade barriers, enhance product safety and strengthen consumer protection.

The Work Plan 2022 was signed during the virtually held 8th annual meeting of the Indo German Working Group on Quality Infrastructure, which Rohit Kumar Singh led, the Secretory of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Daniela Bronstrup, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
