India gets UNESCO prize for use of ICT in education

The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), India received the 2021 United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for its “Initiatives for Inclusive and Accessible Education during COVID-19” .

The 2021 award was dedicated to projects that used technology to build learning programmes that effectively ensure the continuity and quality of learning in the face of education disruptions like the global pandemic.
