India joined nearly 40 other countries in commemorating the third World Negl India joins a global movement to illuminate 100 landmarks worldwide to raise awareness about Neglected Tropical Diseases on the 3rd World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day by lighting up the New Delhi Railway Station in purple and orange hues.

Harmeet Singh Grewal, Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry, stressed the importance of creating a people's movement to eradicate Neglected Tropical Diseases at an event hosted by the National Centre for Vector-Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) to commemorate the Day.
