Denis Alipov, Russia's envoy to India, said that Indian pharmaceutical companies could cover the demand for Western companies in Russia.

As a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the West has imposed a number of sanctions on the country. The crisis began on Feb. 24, when Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a military strike against the East European country.
