India on allegations over delay in confirmation of Pak envoy to the US

Masood Khan, who was the "president" of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir until August of last year, was appointed as Pakistan's ambassador to the United States in November.

The allegation that India is attempting to thwart the confirmation of Pakistan's ambassador-designate to the United States, Masood Khan, was dismissed as "preposterous" by India on Thursday.

At a press conference, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "It is preposterous to blame a third country for the delay in the appointment of an ambassador from one country to another."
