After securing 133 votes, India is reelected to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) council.
The membership is for category B, which includes 10 countries: Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, and the United Arab Emirates. According to the IMO, "Category B" states have the most significant interest in international seaborne trade.
