India-Russia Summit: Military and economic cooperation discussed by PM Modi, President Putin

Earlier in the day, the two countries had held their first-ever 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue during which the Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar and the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had met with their Russian Counterparts to discuss issues of mutual interest. At the end of the talks, the two sides signed four agreements including a contract for the joint production of over 600,000 Russian AK-203 rifles in India and a 10 year defense cooperation pact.
