India will start administering Covid-19 vaccinations for children of 12-14 years from March 16, announced health minister Mansukh Mandaviya.

India will expand its Covid-19 vaccination drive to include children in the ages of 12-14 years starting Wednesday.

“The Union government, after due deliberations with scientific bodies, has decided to start the Covid-19 vaccination for 12-13 years and 13-14 years age groups (those born in 2008, 2009 and 2010 i.e. those who are already above 12) on March 16, 2022,” said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in a news release.
