India UK FTA to be finalized by Diwali: Minister
The UK-INDIA week 2022 which will begin on June 27, is a five-day conclave that will be attended by over 100 leading politicians, global business leaders, innovators and disruptors from the UK and India.
Indian Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, inaugurated the UK-India Week 2022, organized by UK-headquartered India Global Forum (IGF), at London on May 26,2022.
At the event, Goyal said that both India and UK are on track for finalizing a free-trade agreement (FTA) that works for the two nations. “The way things are progressing, we’ll actually land up doing a full FTA with the UK by Diwali. We are working toward a fair deal and a win-win for both countries,” he said to the gathering.
