Ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, India-UK Commonwealth Dialogue was held on Thursday May 5, at Director General level in New Delhi.

Joint Secretary at United Nations Political (UNP) Division, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Mr. Prakash Gupta exchanged views with the British Commonwealth Envoy, Ms. Jo Lomas, and officials from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and the British High Commission in Delhi.

The two agreed to deepen their cooperation and discussed arrangements and outcome documents to be adopted during the upcoming Commonwealth Meeting, to be held in Kigali, Rwanda, in the week beginning June 20, 2022.

Next hearing on the appeal of diamond trader Nirav Modi for the extradition case will be held in the London High Court on June 28, according to the officials of the Royal Courts of Justice.
